We believe that we have each been given unique talents and resources in order to serve the needs of others and contribute to the world around us. Therefore, we are committed to donating time and resources to our local and international community, and we encourage our SJBT team to do the same. We see ourselves not only as a firm, but as group of individuals committed to making a difference. To that end, we have established a charitable contributions committee comprised of staff and professionals to evaluate various organizations whose mission has touched the heart of the firm and its employees. Our focus is on those organizations who are directly involved in the lives of the individuals they serve.

Elizabeth Schurig

• Parent volunteer at Kirby Hall School and for Ballet Austin
• Contributes financially to Ballet Austin, Breath of Life, and Camp Peniel
  

Steve Tackett

• Team Member for Mobile Loaves & Fishes, Austin, Texas, an ecumenical food and clothing ministry for the homeless and others in need in the Austin, Texas area. Steve drives a truck once a month to distribute food and clothing
• Participates annually on a Mission Team from First United Methodist Church, Austin, Texas, to The Four Corners Native American Ministry, Shiprock, New Mexico, a ministry helping Native Americans in the Four Corners area of the United States
• Mission co-coordinator for The Big Bend Trekkers, a men's group mostly from Austin, Texas who camp and hike in Big Bend National Park and participates in an annual charitable activity in the Park and surrounding areas

Jennifer Anthony

• Founder and Board Vice President of Nets on the Run – a 501(c)3 organization that replaces deteriorated or missing basketball nets at public athletic facilities and provides athletic equipment to disadvantaged youth
• Volunteer at Operation Homefront – a 501(c)3 organization supporting the families of deployed military forces
